Cornerstone Insurance Group Clay Center
Welcome to Cornerstone Insurance Group in Clay Center. Clay Center is the county seat of Clay County, and has a population of 760 people. In 1879, after a heated competition with Harvard and Sutton, an election was held and Clay Center was confirmed as the county seat for Clay County. In February 1887 Clay Center became an incorporated village. Then in 1942 Clay Center experienced changes when the Naval Ammunition Depot was built west of town and produced bombs and shells that were used during WWII. Later on the Ammunition Depot property was transferred to the US Department of Agriculture and was designated by Congress as the Roman L Hruska US Meat Animal Research Center. Clay Center is also nationally known for Old Trusty Days, which is a two-day celebration of “the way it was” in Nebraska. The Clay Center office joined Cornerstone Insurance Group in 2004 when RBR Insurance Agency was purchased. The staff in Clay Center looks forward to serving your insurance needs.
